Schwarzenegger to back McCain (The Associated Press, Jan 30, 2008)

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger will endorse John McCain on Thursday, giving a certain boost to the Republican presidential front-runner six days before California's high-prize primary.

The two will appear at a news conference after touring a Los Angeles-based solar energy company and the governor will make his endorsement official, his senior aides confirmed Wednesday.

Soon the Beltway Right will tell us why this is actually a bad thing for Mr. McCain.

Well, the Beltway Right has already convinced us that it's a bad thing that McCain received the lion's share of independent votes in the primary elections. I mean, it's not like they let independents vote in November.

McCain isn't far enough right for them. surprisingly, moderate Republicans are the ones that garner enough votes nationally to actually win the office. The only time you get a heavy conservative is when the opposition is an absolute disaster like Jimmy Carter. and if someone actually wants such a disaster to happen again so that the country will turn to a true conservative, then that person is utterly despicable and no true patriot.

McCain and President Bush are more conservative than Reagan was. This is partly because Reagan pushed the country to the right. It is very telling that the first George Bush is far less conservative than either of his sons.

Acording to the Beltway and Blog Right, only Romney is a true conservative. Maybe the 2008 version but all earlier versions were not.

The only 100% conservatives, Toncredo and Brownback, got at most 100 votes nationwide.

So, what conclusion does a rational person draw?

"So, what conclusion does a rational person draw?"

The loudest are usually the least in numbers. And numbers is votes.

Reagan was a New Dealer, to his grave.

The registered Independents he's getting are Republicans.
