JUST AS RWR CAPPED HIS REVOLUTION WITH THE TRIP TO MOSCOW...:

Iran 'could restore ties with US' (BBC, 1/03/08)

Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has said relations with the US could be restored in the future.

So too will President Bush's trip to Tehran be his finishing touch.

In RWR's time, the Soviets didn't have an internal war amongst theocrats, paramilitaries, terrorists, the military and subversives, so it was safe for him to go.

I suspect the Iranians wouldn't be able to protect GWB during his visit even if he were to go, and that would be the primary reason not to go. Maybe Dubai.

He ran on 9-11--the least he can do is man up for peace with the Crescent.

"The Crescent"--a new word for it, eh.

Go ahead, we don't change a thing by changing its name--that would be just too gay.

Sounds like a trendy new shopping mall.

It's been called the Shi'a Crescent for some time now, since it basically curves across the region. We already liberated the Afghanistan and Iraqi portions and Hezbollahstan is liberating itself. We just need to do Syria and kiss and make up with Persia.

Persia - yes.
