MAY HAVE LOST HIS EXCHANGE WITH OBAMA... (via Bryan Francoeur):

EU and Australia trade insults over climate change (Renata Goldirova, 4/03/07, EU Observer)

The European Union and Australia have started a war of words over climate change, with Canberra calling on Brussels to live up to its own global warming promises before lecturing others.

"You've got the spokesman for a group of countries lecturing us about not having signed Kyoto, yet the great bulk of the countries on whose behalf he speaks are falling well behind their Kyoto targets and are doing less well than Australia in meeting them," Australia's prime minister John Howard said on Monday (2 April), reacting to critical comments made by EU environment commissioner Stavros Dimas the same day.

...but the Euros are easy pickins.

I thought I read on Belmont Club that scientists sent a thermometer down 1000 miles, temp is around 6500d and it seems 1/3 of our warming comes from below us.

This is getting very entertaining.

When have global warm-mongers ever done that? St. Al (Gore), or Flyer John (Trovolta)? Less emissions from you, the uncouths, better for us the elites. Understand that?

Sandy:

That is unlikely, although the temps. are quite hot much closer to the surface than 1000 miles. The crust is a pretty good insulator (go into most caves and the average temp. is about 52 deg.). Absent the local hotspots (magma), the temps. are pretty constant.
