REASONS TO BE CHEERFUL...:
Would 24-hour breakfast sell like hot cakes? (CHERYL V. JACKSON, 9/21/06, Chicago Sun-Times)
Memo to late-rising McDonald's sausage, egg and biscuit lovers: Get your hopes up. It might be possible to get the item way past traditional breakfast hours. In describing a kitchen layout the company is developing that would enable customers to get a better view of food preparation, McDonald's Corp. CEO Jim Skinner painted a picture Wednesday of his chain serving breakfast all day long.
I love the smell of a McGriddle in the evening... Posted by Orrin Judd at September 21, 2006 8:54 PM
Nothing worse than walking up to the Mickey D's counter 5 minutes after they've stopped serving breakfast -- and they stop at an absurdedly early hour in the morning.
Posted by: Jim in Chicago at September 21, 2006 9:11 PMWHAT TOOK THEM SO LONG???
Posted by: Matt Murphy at September 21, 2006 9:22 PMI'm pretty sure a McGriddle is the perfect after the bar closes snack. It's little hazy.
Posted by: Mike Beversluis at September 21, 2006 9:33 PMJust as long as they don't leave the 10 a.m. breakfasts under the warming lights umtil 1 o'clock in the morning.
Posted by: John at September 22, 2006 12:08 AMHash browns!!!! Never understood why you could only get them for breakfast!
Posted by: Dorothy Judd at September 22, 2006 6:24 AMJack in the Box has been doing this for a couple of years now. McDonald's better hope this move works, for Jack in the Box has nationwide expansion plans and the commercials to get the folks in the door.
Posted by: Brad S at September 22, 2006 8:44 AMJim, I did that last week. I was 6 minutes late.
I really don't care for McDonald's hamburgers but I do like their breakfast stuff.
Posted by: pchuck at September 22, 2006 9:54 AMDitto for Denny's. We only order from the breakfast menu whenever we go there. They had great potato pancakes served with sour cream and apple sauce, but it hasn't been available for a long time now. Sigh.
