SLOWLEARNER SERGEI:
Iran nuclear bomb 'in 10 years' (BBC, 6/02/06)
Iran is determined to have a nuclear weapon and could possess one within 10 years, according to the top US intelligence chief. [...]But on Friday Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the Vienna agreement meant that force was ruled out.
Boy, Mr. Lavrov learned nothing from the Iraq war, huh? We're giving russia and the rest a chance to act responsibly, but if they don't we'll do what needs to be done. Posted by Orrin Judd at June 2, 2006 8:00 AM
Bush will not leave office with the Iran question unresolved no matter who succeeds him, so any and every solution until then is up for grabs.

If Amir Taheri is to be believed, resolution of the Iran issue will not even be in Bush's hands. It's becoming more and more apparent that Iran, and the rest of the ME, is simply waiting out Bush and hoping for better terms from Hillary.
Posted by: Brad S at June 2, 2006 12:48 PMOf course they're waiting Bush out, but my contention is that Bush won't leave office without settling the issue even if his successor is a conservative Republican. Instead of pardoning child molesters and drug kingpins like Clinton, Bush will rid the world of nuclear threats for his valedictory.
