ACTUALLY, THE LINK IS TO ROADS:
Road rage linked to serotonin shortage (Associated Press, June 6, 2006)
Posted by Orrin Judd at June 6, 2006 11:29 AMYet another example of social decline.
Another character flaw covered up by an industry and culture intent on making every personal problem another reason for a shot of Prozac, Ritalin, or Lipitor (all pushed upon us by an idustry that "doesn't exist, I suppose).
Further, the real cause of road rage lies in YET ANOTHER example of social decline, which is that too few people on the roads know how to drive, get out of the left lane, and otherwise make way for their superiors.
I endorse OJ's crusade against the car for no other reason that it may clear the roads for those of us who actually know how to drive.

Posted by: oj at June 6, 2006 12:09 PMA few weeks ago you were extolling the virtues of the American homeowner buying fertilizer and lawn mowers to take care of their property. Apparently you want them schlepping this stuff home from Home Depot on the bus...?
Posted by: HT at June 6, 2006 1:49 PMThere's tons of room under the bus.
Posted by: oj at June 6, 2006 1:55 PMAt first, I misread your comment, oj. I thought it said "three tons of room under the bus". I was ready to contact Homeland Security and CSIS in Canada.
Posted by: obc at June 6, 2006 3:44 PMGreat plan. As long as you live at the bus stop.
Posted by: HT at June 6, 2006 4:06 PMThose driving in the left lane at or below the speed limit should be immediately removed from the road and held in protective custody until they're too old to drive again. Those using cruise control while ... should be shot on sight.
Posted by: erp at June 6, 2006 4:08 PMIt's not about drivers, but about driving.
Posted by: oj at June 6, 2006 4:14 PMDefine "complete". Also, it depends on the meaning of "are".
Posted by: HT at June 6, 2006 5:40 PMLoad the TurfBuilder on the lawnmower and wheel it home.
Posted by: oj at June 6, 2006 5:43 PMIf George Jones can drive his John Deere into town to get booze, I reckon OJ can use his to get turf.
Posted by: Pepys at June 6, 2006 5:48 PMOJ, someday you should build a diorama of your perfectly organized utopian "Community of the Future (Past)". Had you been born a little earlier, you could have exhibited it at the New York World's Fair, and by now we would all be enjoying the blissful connectedness of high density public transit in between the moments of leisure solitude at our expansive suburban estates. You may have to team up with an engineer chap by the name of Goldberg (Rube, I believe he's called), to make it all work.
Posted by: Robert Duquette at June 8, 2006 12:02 AMHow? It's not organized.
