IT'S AS NEAR UNANIMOUS AS OPINION POLLING GETS IN A DEMOCRACY:
The whole world, from whose hands? (USA Today, 10/10/05)
BIBLE VS. EVOLUTIONWhich statement comes closest to your views?
God created human beings in their present form exactly as described in the Bible
All: 53% [...]
Human beings have evolved over millions of years from other forms of life, and God guided this process.
All: 31% [...]
Human beings have evolved, but God had no part in the process.
All: 12% [...]
Source: USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup telephone survey of 1,005 on Sept. 8-11. Margin of error +/- 3 percentage points.
And, curiously, 100% of those who believe God had no part in the process oppose the nomination of Harriet Miers. Posted by Orrin Judd at October 13, 2005 2:08 PM
Maybe not QUITE 100%, but probably rounds that way.
Posted by: Rick T. at October 13, 2005 4:14 PMThis is one of the most foolish and most widely misused polls I've ever seen. I would be embarrased to even reference it if I was you.
Posted by: Herb at October 13, 2005 4:26 PMWhy is it foolish and how is it misused?

I don't believe the 12% either, at least half are probably lying so the pollsters won't think ill of them, but the number hasn't fluctuated beyond the margin of error for decades.
