You have to wonder about the future of a party that seriously thinks the 1994 GOP Revolution was a function of Jim Wright having ethical problems. Add the fact that there is ample evidence that the Dems were doing all of the things Delay is being accused of (Delay wasn't near the top ten in lobby sponsered trips - all top 10 were Dems) and most people will continue to not pay attention.

Posted by: David Cohen at May 18, 2005 1:05 PMThe base cares. And any issue that doesn't alienate the mushy middle but fires up the base will be pushed. (As opposed to the Dems, whose issues may fire up the base but make the "can't we all get along" middle uncomfortable.)
