KELLER MADE THEM DO IT:
Mideast Climate Change (NY Times, 3/01/05)
[T]his has so far been a year of heartening surprises - each one remarkable in itself, and taken together truly astonishing. The Bush administration is entitled to claim a healthy share of the credit for many of these advances. It boldly proclaimed the cause of Middle East democracy at a time when few in the West thought it had any realistic chance.
That can't have been easy to write. Posted by Orrin Judd at March 1, 2005 6:39 AM
...at a time when few in the West thought it had any realistic chance.
The NYT is trying its darnedest to wheedle out of being consistently, blusteringly and most vilely wrong for a very long time.
If only they could say, "We were dreadfully wrong. We apologize for the slander and the smarminess, the lying and the misrepresentation. We will truly try to better from now on."
Slime balls.
(Granted they're way ahead of most of the rest of the MSM.)
Posted by: Barry Meislin at March 1, 2005 9:03 AMThe Bush administration, most of the Republican members of congress, a couple of democrats.Who else deserves credit other than the coalition memebers and the US military acting under the commander in chief?
Posted by: Tom C., Stamford, Ct. at March 1, 2005 9:03 AMThe MSM have no shame regardless of the issue. Were they samurai, Dan Shaughnessy would have ritually disemboweled himself after the Sox won the Series and Peter Jennings would have done the same after the first photos of cheering Iraqi voters appeared on TV.
