Banderas back as Puss in Boots (Miami Herald, 3/01/05)

Puss in Boots is going solo.

That's right -- the funny feline from Shrek 2 will star in his own film by DreamWorks, according to Variety.com.

Antonio Banderas will once again be the voice behind Puss in Boots in the Shrek spin-off slated for a 2008 release.

I'll bet NBC-Universal beats them to market with a Triumph the Insult Comic Dog feature film before then.
