Adultery crashes Boeing's CEO (FRANCINE KNOWLES, March 8, 2005, Chicago Sun-Times)
Boeing CEO Harry Stonecipher, brought back from retirement 15 months ago to help rid the company of scandal, was forced out after an extramarital affair with a female Boeing executive. The 68-year-old head of the world's second-biggest planemaker was asked by the board to resign after an internal investigation of a personal relationship between him and the unidentified woman, Chicago-based Boeing said in releasing the stunning news Monday.

Two items from today's Wall Street Journal page 1 above the fold:
1. Stonecipher is [was] the company's chief ethics enforcer!
2. Stonecipher is quoted: "We set - hell, I set - a higher standard here. I violated my own standards. I used poor judgment."
