Christopher Reeve's Widow Attending State Of The Union (AP, Feb 1, 2005)

Christopher Reeve’s widow, Dana Reeve, is going to President Bush’s State of the Union address in hopes of hearing him propose additional support for medical research.

Reeve, who is attending Wednesday night as the guest of Rep. James Langevin, D-R.I., has been a vocal advocate of embryonic stem cell research. And Langevin said Tuesday that, “it is my hope that having Dana present at the State of the Union will help refocus the nation’s attention and the president’s attention on stem cell research and the need for more funding.”

Well, he'd be up and walking now if half the crowd at an Ohio State game had had a couple more beers, or something like that.

Heck, he'd be playing for Ohio State by now, if only half the crowd had had a few more beers back in November and punched the wrong button, pulled the wrong lever or whatever...

But if Ohio State had Maurice Clarett, they'd have been competing for the national championship and the other half of the Ohio Stadium crowd would have been too drunk or too preoccupied to get to the polling booth and vote for Kerry, so his margin of loss would have been even greater, ad infinitum, ad nauseam.

You just touched a sore spot in this Buckeye fan. Mr. Clarett had worn out his welcome in Columbus well before this year. If he had played in 2003, they might have gone somewhere, as it was they finished 12-1.

But Craig Krenzel, their QB in 02 & 03 graduated and they were breaking new QBs this fall. They ended the season well because the young talent started to come on.

Remember the name Ted Ginn, Jr. WR, CB, Punt Returner. Spectacular Game Breaking speed. He can make an entire field of opponents look like they are stuck in mud. Candidate for Heisman in 2006.

Ginn is really a spectacular player who will turn pro the second he can, and he should do precisely that. If he is a decent human being and not a Deion Sanders-type he can make billions as he will be a dominant pro at corner, wideout or both, as well as being a gamebreaking kick and punt returner.
