Aids epidemic a threat to Europe (BBC, September 16th, 2004)
Europe's social and economic stability is being seriously threatened by the Aids epidemic, warn experts. Some 1.8 million people in Europe and Central Asia have HIV, according to the Joint UN Programme on HIV/Aids and the World Health Organization.Both say the epidemic continues to spread unchecked and that European governments need to act now.
The European Union has a "prime opportunity" to work together to save thousands of people, the experts say.
Dr Jack Chow, WHO's assistant director-general, HIV/Aids, Tuberculosis and Malaria, said: "Building effective partnerships is key to make a significant and sustainable contribution towards proactively addressing the HIV/Aids epidemic in Europe.
But if we ever cure Aids, who is going to
support all those unemployed Aids
activists?
They will find something else to whine about, they always do. They are not AIDS activists, they are WHATEVER activists.

Posted by: Governor Breck at September 18, 2004 9:27 AM Here's how we eradicate AIDS: Propagate a myth about an all-knowing and all-powerful Being who sees everything that goes on behind all closed doors, and who REALLY doesn't like a**-f***ing. The idea is to reduce the transmission of the disease below that whuich is necessary for it to spread or even survive. The epidemology is set out in the book, The Myth of Heterosexual Aids.
Now a lot of people won't buy our myth, and some will buy it but choose to defy it, but the idea is only to modify the behavior of enough to reduce the rate of transmission below the critical level. It has worked up until recently, and the alternative is to go the way of the Mayans.
