THE BALD GUY SET ME UP:

McAuliffe denies involvement in memos flap (Stephen Dinan, 9/10/04, THE WASHINGTON TIMES)

Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe today said neither his organization nor John Kerry´s campaign leaked to CBS documents questioning President Bush´s service record, which may have been forged.

He suggested White House adviser Karl Rove could be behind the documents.

"I can unequivocally say that no one involved here at the Democratic National Committee had anything at all to do with any of those documents. If I were an aspiring young journalist, I think I would ask Karl Rove that question," Mr. McAuliffe said.

Given Mr. Rove's track record let's assume the possibility that Mr. McAuliffe is right--still, would you be holding a press conference to announce you were snookered?

So, it's not enough that the bias of the media has become even more obvious, and it's not enough that the CBS and the democrats are so desperate that they are willing to give national, nay, international play to documents of uncertain origin. No, now they want to say that it was Karl Rove's doing! Unbelievable! If only they could see how much they resemble their own mascot, the jackass! Don't underestimate the American people - they take a lot, they get duped more than they ought, but in the end they are not stupid. I hope the whole sordid story comes out loud and clear, but I know it won't be through 99% of the media, so I'm thankful for the blogs! They are fast, smart, and clever. Watch out Dan Rather, et al!

Plus it speaks volumes about the Democrats' opinion of the authenticity of the documents.

Next question for John Kerry (now on day 40 of his hide-out): "Senator, did anyone associated with your campaign, to any degree, give those documents (or copies therefrom) to CBS News OR to the Boston Globe?"

McAuliffe is either a Rove plant or a complete [dunder]head.

AWW

He could be both at the same time. Actually he's a Clinton "plant" and "dunderhead".

H,

Agreed. McAuliffe is purely a Clinton plant but he is too stupid to know it. He's the Southern Mafia's conduit to Slick Willie, and makes his money off the crumbs that fall off.

""If I were an aspiring young journalist, I think I would ask Karl Rove that question," Mr. McAuliffe said. "

If he were an aspiring young journalist, he would be giving Dan Rather a "lewinsky".
