HERE'S THE FLIP, WAIT FOR THE FLOP:
Kerry Open to OK Anti-Abortion Judges (RON FOURNIER, May 19, 2004, AP)
Democrat John Kerry said Wednesday he's open to nominating anti-abortion judges as long as that doesn't lead to the Supreme Court overturning the landmark 1973 ruling that made abortion legal.

Kerry Motto:
"In a minute there is time for decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse."
Posted by: Robert Schwartz at May 19, 2004 9:54 PMHe's already flopped. According to Peter Kirsanow in a piece in National Review Online on May 5, 2004, Kerry promised to nominate only pro-choice judges.
Posted by: Jana at May 19, 2004 10:19 PMWhat I noted is that he said that he's open to nominating such judges. They don't have to be accepted by the Senate. And then he could say that he tried.
What ever happened to "advice and consent"? There's nothing about "demand and dissent" in the Constitution that I remember.
Posted by: Henry IX at May 19, 2004 10:59 PMThis is very simple and very silly. I am sure Kerry considers himself anti-abortion. You know the drill: won't personally do it; want to make it rare, etc. Have him say he will appoint anti-choice judges. That is more significant, and it won't happen.
