72% believe Canada should have backed war: Split between verbal or military support (Michael Higgins, April 08, 2003, National Post)A large majority of Canadians -- 72% -- believe Canada should have supported the U.S. at the start of the war against Iraq, according to an exclusive National Post/Global News poll.The COMPAS survey shows 41% of people believe Canada should have given verbal support to the United States two weeks ago while 31% said the backing should have come in the form of both words and troops.
Still, only a slim majority, 56%, agreed with the U.S. decision to launch an invasion to bring down Saddam Hussein, while 34% opposed the attack.
Jean Chretien is to give a speech in the House of Commons today endorsing the Bush administration's "mission" in Iraq and asking MPs to declare formal support for a quick victory by coalition forces.

With that kind of support and 25 cents, we could park in Boston for 15 minutes.
Would someone tell this blockhead what "Naw Ruz" means. St. Crispen's was good enough for me but methinks I'm missing something good here.

C'mon, I even linked to it. Ba'hai New Years is the only holiday that's occurred during the war, which started after St. Patricks and looks to be over by Easter.
