LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT?:

Jessica Lange: "I hate Bush" (Jeanette Walls, 10/01/02, MSNBC)
Add Jessica Lange to the growing list of celebs speaking out against George W. Bush’s policies. The star of “Tootsie” — receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the San Sebastian film festival in Madrid, Spain — declared that she “hates” the U.S. president and said his call for an attack on Iraq is “unconstitutional, immoral and illegal.”

“I HATE BUSH. I despise him and his entire administration — not only because of its international policy, but also the national,” Lange told the audience, according to various reports coming from Spain.

“It makes me feel ashamed to come from the United States — it is humiliating.”

“Bush stole the elections and since then we have all been suffering the consequences,” Lange told the enthusiastic crowd.

One would vow to not watch her movies any more, but that's a hollow threat since she's never been in a good one. In fact, the only worthwhile thing she's ever done was to play the vacuum eyed love interest in the film that gave us the immortal concept of Letting the Tiger out of the Cage. Now, Orrin, I beg to differ. Lange played the perfect airhead in the dreadful "King Kong" remake... but then again, she wasn't really acting there, was she?

You can't say I'm wrong while you're referring to a movie as "dreadful".

isn't she married, or something akin to hollywood marriage, to sam shephard. Ugh. Let's face it, his stuff isn't the modern day eugene o'neill, it is just pedantic and boring. He was cool in the "right stuff." What desperate shams these B-list hollywood celebrities are turning into.

It illustrates the danger of speaking your mind when your fame is based on your face.
