A CHOICE OF GOVERNORS:
Michele Bachmann lacks executive experience (FRED MALEK, 7/21/11, Politico)
Let's face it. In light of recent electoral swoons, most voters have learned the hard way that when it comes to picking a president, executive experience matters. We've already seen what comes of electing someone with only scant legislative experience and not much else.Don't get me wrong: Bachmann's record is a welcome contrast to many other candidates. But being an insurgent legislator is nowhere near as significant as being an insurgent, and effective, executive. As a legislator, your ability to stop the rot is sometimes as effective as shouting into the wind. Strategically, Bachmann occupies a space that can easily be overrun.
