Babies in Britain are being born bigger than ever thanks to an improvement in diet and living standards.The average weight of babies has risen steadily for the past 30 years. Male babies in this country now weigh an average of 7lb 8oz - up 2oz from 1970, while female babies weight 7lb 4oz - up 1.5oz since 1970.
...is just a function of nutrition and hygiene.
