Obama's Spendthrift Campaign (Jaime Sneider, June 9, 2008, Campaign Standard)

[O]bama oversees a team of 700 people--more than twice as many as Bush in 2004--the biggest, most bloated campaign in the history of presidential elections:

So far in 2008, combined campaign-spending data for the three most recent months available--February, March and April--show that Sen. Obama outspent Sen. McCain 4.5-to-1 on staff salaries, more than 2-to-1 on office rents, and 25-to-1 on broadcast advertising, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Sen. Obama has about 700 employees on the payroll, scattered across 19 states. The McCain cadre is around 100, divided among a handful of local offices.

...even He couldn't have cranked out enough loaves and fishes to feed everybody.

This could be entertaining. Even rich Leftists can only give so much to His campaign legally, thanks to McCain's Revenge. How willing will people be to keep giving when there will be little to show for it (see the last couple of months of treading water against Hillary! for a taste of that future from the spending side.) Can He whip up enough hysteria to get the bitter, typical white marks to make up the difference? Will we have the spectacle that come October Our Messiah (pbuh) will be missing payroll and getting locked out for non-payment of rent? Win or lose, there could be a lot of people feeling used by the time this is all over. The trick, and the true test of His Messianic Abilities, will be to make sure they don't feel it until after the election. And if He does win, will there be enough patronage to go around? (That's when we get to see real Chicago Politics in action at the national level.)

(If you write off a debt run up by a campaign, is that considered a contribution? Is that the loophole in McCain's Revenge laws? I could see all sort of collusive possibilities there. And I'm not a machine politician...)

Obama will not run out of money, he has George Soros financing him.

Well at least folks can't claim to be surprised when they see what happens to the federal payroll.

Why does he need a campaign staff when he has the media working for him 24/7 and sam is right, he'll always have as much money as he wants as long as he stays on right left side of Soros et al.

And with all of that spending he stopped Hillary Clinton only after taking the campaign to the very last primaries.

He is running a WWI campaign, and that does not bode well, as sources get tapped out.
