Clinton posts dominating W. Va. win (BILL NICHOLS, 5/13/08, Politico)

West Virginia had 28 delegates at stake, to be awarded proportionally according to the popular vote.

According to the Associated Press, Obama began the day with 1,875.5 delegates, to 1,697 for Clinton, out of 2,025 needed to clinch the nomination at the party convention in Denver this summer.

...could provide a nice moment for her to concede.

No, no, no! Don't give up, Hillary! You can still win this thing! Leave no eye un-gouged!

Why should she quit - she will probably win KY by almost as much. And perhaps Puerto Rico as well.

The racial chickens are swarming. The foxes are feasting. The Democratic Party - what a show!

The notion that she's going to withdraw now is insane. Her goal for these past few months has been to make sure Obama loses in November. Now she's gotten his campaign to openly dismiss people voting for her and even call them racists. How could his campaign be so stupid? Do they honestly think that blue-collar white voters are going to "come back" to him after this? Does he honestly think he doesn't need those votes? It's lunacy.

The "egg head" Left doesn't want these votes. Brazile's exasperation at Begala showed that even she is vulnerable to such nonsense.

But the real problems will come when the potential Hispanic vote is evaluated. Just wait until Richardson and the Latino Dems in the west realize that McCain might carry CA. And what is Obama going to do - go on Telemundo or Univision and speak pigdin Spanish?
