THE ANTI-DEMOCRATIC PARTY:
Texas primary dissolves into raucous caucus (WAYNE SLATER, 3/05/08, The Dallas Morning News)
Texas primary became a back-alley brawl Tuesday, a possible prelude to Democratic infighting all the way to the convention. [...]The polls had barely closed when both sides were trading charges of irregularities and bad faith, of poaching delegates and challenging results.
"I suspect that [Democratic National Committee Chairman] Howard Dean is on his knees, saying, 'God, if you are a Democrat, you'll take care of this before August' " and its convention, said political scientist Jerry Polinard of the University of Texas-Pan American.
More likely sacrificing fetuses to Ba'al.
There's something exquisite about the Democrats having such an anti-democratic nomination process.

What was the old Will Rogers joke - "I don't belong to any organized party; I'm a Democrat."
