APOLOGIZE AND MOVE ON:
Obama aide forced out for calling Clinton 'a monster': Samantha Power, a Pulitzer Prize-winning Harvard professor, resigns after making disparaging remarks about the former first lady during an interview in London. She apologizes to both Democrats. (Michael Muskal and Maria L. La Ganga, 3/07/08, Los Angeles Times)
The campaign, which had earlier distanced itself from Power, this morning announced that she had resigned.
Do we really need a politics where saying one thing, no matter how
idiotic, forces you out? Posted by Orrin Judd at March 7, 2008 3:21 PM

If Obama's campaign wasn't so fragile (and premised on him being the harbinger of some sort of swell friendly new political MO) she wouldn't be out.

Posted by: erp at March 7, 2008 7:08 PMSamantha Power has been saying idiotic things for weeks. They had to let her go, or she would have become the story.
