New Polls Show A Shifting US Presidential Race (Jim Malone, 20 March 2008, VOA News)

Some good news for Hillary Clinton in her battle with Barack Obama for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination.

The latest Gallup poll has Clinton pulling ahead of Obama by a margin of 49 to 42 percent.

But there was also good news for the presumed Republican presidential nominee, Senator John McCain. The latest Reuters-Zogby poll shows McCain beating Obama by a margin of 46 to 40 percent, and defeating Clinton by a margin of 48 to 40 percent.

I love it when it all comes together.

The Dems have absolutely no choice but to stick with Obama, even though he is 100% unelectable (and always has been). They just can't have black voters consider other alternatives. White working class voters who will give McCain a landslide will always consider coming back. The Clintons, as they sharpen their knives, must be grateful to see how loyal (or not) folks like Bill Richardson are. The bloodletting as they purge those who don't stand with them now is going to be incredible.

The question for the Edwards campaign is why didn't they make sure this stuff got released 3 months ago? He would have been the nominee if people had known just how unelectable Obama is.
