HILLARY WAS SELECTED, NOT ELECTED:
Kucinich Seeks NH Dem Vote Recount (STEPHEN FROTHINGHAM, 1/10/08, AP)
Democrat Dennis Kucinich, who won less than 2 percent of the vote in the New Hampshire primary, said Thursday he wants a recount to ensure that all ballots in his party's contest were counted. The Ohio congressman cited "serious and credible reports, allegations and rumors" about the integrity of Tuesday results.Posted by Orrin Judd at January 11, 2008 1:04 PMDeputy Secretary of State David Scanlan said Kucinich is entitled to a statewide recount. But, under New Hampshire law, Kucinich will have to pay for it.
Yeah, I've been reading on some of the more extremist blogs that the whole NH primary was a big scam. "Polls don't lie!" they tell me, which is just the funniest thing I've heard today and I hope that Thomas Dewey is having a good chuckle over it in some pleasant afterlife.

Is this a great state or what.
Posted by: Genecis at January 11, 2008 5:34 PMI believe that's the same standard in most states. Unless the recount is mandated by law because of a narrow margin of error. And the Clinton Machine ain't stupid, they made sure BarryO lost by more than enough to prevent that from happening. (Although, as demonstrated here in the Upper Left Washington a few years back, stealing the election on a paid recount is possible, if you also own the vote counters and the margin is small enough. And mail-in ballots help, too.)
