DIY PLANET:

Earth Entering New Geologic Epoch? (Larry O'Hanlon, 1/29/08, Discovery News)

Human effects on the planet have reached the point where many scientists think we have entered a new geologic epoch.

We are all Designists now.

If they are alluding to global warming, I have to say here in eastern Washington we have been hit all winter with nasty weather. Over the weekend it snowed 13 inches, we'll get 3-5 inches today and later in the week we'll get 6-8 inches.

Whenever that is mentioned, the greenies say there is a difference between weather and climate; however, they do the same thing and say because it was warm last summer then it is climate change. I guess you can't win with the new religion.

By their criteria, we'll be "entering new geologic epoch" on a monthly basis for years to come.

I guess you can't win with the new religion.

You can't defeat faith with logic (or vice versa) because they are based on different axioms. The problems start when practitioners in one area one try to invade the other, and do little more than demonstrate that difference and their own ignorance and hubris. (rabid pseudo-scientific atheists like Dawkins, or the Intelligent Creationists are two self-selected examples of this.)
