THE GREAT LESSON OF THE FEMINIST REVOLUTION...:

Why do men go missing?: The mysterious reappearance of canoeist John Darwin after vanishing five years ago has cast the spotlight on a little-covered phenomenon: middle-aged men who go missing. (Finlo Rohrer, 12/04/07, BBC News Magazine)

The figures suggest that while the teenage missing are more likely to be girls, of all those over the age of 24 who disappear, 73% are male. Of those missing for more than a year, the longer they are missing the more likely they are to be older men.

...is that the wonder is that any stay home.

After the last three school days of trying to get my 10 & 12 (1 month shy of being a teenager) year old girls up and ready for school, I really would like to go missing for an extended period of time. They have never been morning people; however, the last three school days have been absolutely dreadful.

Reminds me of an old joke:

Q. Why do men die so much earlier than women?

A. To get away?
