BECAUSE, GOD FORBID HE SHOULD RUN WHEN HE MIGHT BE MILDLY QUALIFIED:

Obama: 2008 or bust (Lauren Appelbaum, 12/28/07, First Read)

Obama told his supporters if he doesn't win in 2008, he won't be trying again later on.

We can't rule out the possibility that 8 or 12 years from now he might actually have passed a piece of legislation...

Like Johnson's dog, walking on its hind legs: the thing is not done well, but we marvel that it is done at all. Thus the man is a walking racial slur.

what does qualification have to do with it. name even one democrat running that IS qualified. the big difference between dems and repubs, in one sense, is that regardless of whether you like the candidates, you can honestly say each repub running is indeed qualified and interesting. edwards? he can get money in a courtroom. clinton? yes, she has seen one of the biggest conmen rule.....obama? he's a nice guy, and all, but his charisma is based on the idea of him, not the actual "him". He's mostly uninteresting. and not only that, but what DOES he actually stand for? who knows....who cares.....

Bill Richardson. And he's Latino. He's the one Democrat who could win.

i've wondered why he hasn't gotten more traction. he's the only interesting and qualified of the bunch. and, yet, surprise, he hasn't gotten any traction. hehe. but he can't win, cuz the voters who are dems with half a brain are just pretty much non-existent, so he can't get the votes.

Richardson, thought of as Hillary's lapdog and vice-presidential choice, has a lot of negatives which will be pointed out if there's any chance of his getting nominated, one of the main ones is that has an eye for the ladies much like another of Hillary's Bills.

Being a straight male can only hurt him in the primaries, not the general.
