BOTH PEOPLE WHO WERE STILL WATCHING ENJOYEDTHE EXCITEMENT:

Taveras helps Rox to 2-0 NLCS edge (Thomas Harding, 10/13/07, MLB.com)

[Center fielder Willy] Taveras can relax after making two plays Friday night that helped the Rockies beat the Diamondbacks, 3-2, in 11 innings in Game 2 at Chase Field in front of 48,219. The Rockies, who before late in the regular season had never won more than nine games in a row in their 15-year history, have won 19 of their last 20.

Taveras' diving catch of a Tony Clark line drive with two out in the seventh preserved a one-run lead. Taveras forced in the winning run by drawing a four-pitch walk from losing pitcher Jose Valverde with the bases loaded in the 11th. [...]

The Rockies have won eight straight overall and have become the first NL team to win their first five games in a postseason since the Wild Card was instituted in 1995. They have also secured the first two in the best-of-7 NLCS. They teams play three straight at Coors Field starting Sunday night at 6:30.

I'm one of the two! Actually I saw the game was still going on but the Rockies were already up by a run, so there wasn't much after that.

I think this team is going to win the World Series.

This series is providing a valuable lesson: If you're going to subject someone's fans to endings at 12:45 AM (MST), let it be fans of teams like the Rockies and D'Backs. TBS has obviously learned well from its sister station's broadcasts of NBA playoff games, and will get the same sort of ratings.

The other viewer is here.

I was watching as well, although I admit I kept going back to "For Love of the Game" on the USA network.

Arizona has to be shaking their heads - they did tie the game in the bottom of the 9th, but they left at least 9 guys on base.

Colorado is hot, but they aren't going to beat the Red Sox. And after last night, I am wondering how the D'backs won anything, because they can't hit a lick.

We were at the game.

Alas, because Davis is so bloody slow, we had to leave early due to baby sitter issues. I watched the end on TV.

I watched it too. It wasn't fun.
