MARKET FUNDAMENTALISM:
Dunkin' Donuts Dumping Most Trans Fats (MARK JEWELL, 8/27/07, The Associated Press)
Dunkin' Donuts, the food-on-the-go chain whose name celebrates a treat that's symbolic of unhealthy eating, is trying to refresh its image by largely eliminating trans fat across its menu. [...]The ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins, another unit of Dunkin' Brands Inc., plans to be zero grams trans fat by Jan. 1.
Consumers effect the changes that the Right fears the Nanny State will impose. Posted by Orrin Judd at August 27, 2007 6:05 AM
I hope they aren't as successful as the pork industry which has so lowered the fat content of their products as to make them unpalatable -- some wag likened it to cardboard that had gone bad.

Sausage rules!
Consumers? The people driving these food bans are people who'd never be caught eating any of these foods they want to "improve". The loudmouths driving these manufactured scare campaigns are just the Nanny State's outsourced auxilliaries and arms-dealers equivalents doing the dirty work (at a nice profit) so the Nanny State can keep plausable deniability and co-opt the other useful idiots who think this means they can get their own banning agendas enacted next.
(Pork without fat? What's the point?)
There's nothing more fun than when the market decides against Rightwing cant.
