FROM FRIEND JIM SIEGEL
I'm sending this to friends and family with news that can help families deal positively with the often complicated issues of drugs and alcohol.
My colleagues and I here at the Partnership for a Drug-Free America have introduced a new program called Time To Talk. It's built on this key fact: kids who learn a lot about the risks of drugs and alcohol from their parents are up to 50 percent less likely to use than those who don't.
So we want more parents (and grandparents, aunts, uncles, godparents, and others) to start and keep the conversations going with their kids. You can make this happen by checking out our website www.timetotalk.org When there, please register and download the Time To Talk tips and tools. Then please forward this e-mail to friends, family, loved ones and co-workers who have kids and teenagers, and ask them to sign-up, too.
Our goal in the next five months is to reach 500,000 parents and other adults. With your help, we can get there and make a big impact.
Thanks a lot for helping to spread the word about timetotalk.org
Best,
Jim
