A TAD TOO MEDIEVAL:

Dogs kill man at actor Ving Rhames' LA home (Dan Whitcomb, 8/04/07, Reuters)

Massive dogs belonging to "Mission: Impossible" co-star Ving Rhames attacked and killed a live-in caretaker at the actor's Los Angeles home on Friday, police said.

The caretaker, whose name was not released by authorities, was found dead on the front lawn of Rhames' gated home in an expensive Brentwood neighborhood, covered in dog bites, a Los Angeles police spokesman said.

In all these years, I have never figured out why I liked Pulp Fiction so much. Maybe it was because stylish but stupid people did stupid things and really paid for it.

Even though Quentin Tarantino gets all the credit for that movie, weren't the stories originally written by the guy who made Shallow Grave? Another movie I liked from that period.

Randall, Yes - Elmore Leonard novels are a hoot. Out of Sight is my favorite movie of the bunch; Soderbergh and Lopez have been coasting off that one ever since.
