LEMON?:
Brazilian Lemonade (SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER, 7/01/07)
2 limesPosted by Orrin Judd at July 1, 2007 1:57 PM1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
3 cups water
Ice
Wash limes thoroughly. Cut off the ends and slice into eight wedges. Place limes in a blender with the sugar, sweetened condensed milk, water and ice.
Pulse five times in blender. Strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove rinds. Serve over ice.
It's a southern-hemisphere thing, like water swirling down the drain in the wrong direction.

This maggot gagging concoction reminds us why!
C'mon Orrin, you could go to any episode of FoodNetwork's "Semi-Homemade" and find a better drink!
Mike
Of course, important to any drink, save water and/or fruit juice, would be alchohol, not "sweetened condensed milk"!
1 part citrus vodka (recommended: Skyy)
1 part coconut rum (recommended: Malibu)
1/2 part pineapple juice (recommended: Dole)
1/2 part cranberry juice cocktail (recommended: Ocean Spray)
Splash sweet and sour mix
Ice cubes
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake vigorously and strain into chilled martini glass.
It's actually very refreshing, as long as you follow the directions verbatim. Going over on one ingredient or skimping on another makes for a very bad drink. But then again, I've become rather partial to Brazilian steakhouses, which have been quite common in metro Denver as of late.
