BACK TO THE 70s!:

Obama Says He Would Walk Picket Line (MIKE GLOVER, 7/21/07, Associated Press)

Democrat Barack Obama told union activists Saturday night that he would walk a picket line as president if organized labor helps elect him in 2008.

Imagine what a mess we'd be in if Maggie and The Gipper hadn't broken the unions?

Don't want to imagine it. Too bad Bush didn't stick his guns on the ports. I always thought that was a grand ploy to get rid of the unions and their influence on dem politics.

This "walking the picket line" also has that '70s love of futile and useless symbolism whose greatest feat was Jimmy Carter's sweater wearing and encouraging of the display of yellow ribbons.

Rid of the unions? Public sector unions are already worse than labor unions ever were and they are growing.

Perry, yes but getting rid of the public sector unions won't be as easy until Republicans are in full control and the media are forced to start telling the truth.
