RELAY FOR LIFE

I (The Other Brother) will be walking in a Relay for Life event in Wolfeboro, NH on June 23rd and 24th.

Relay For LifeĀ® of Wolfeboro is a fun-filled overnight event designed to bring together those who have been touched by cancer in our community. More than 200 Relays will be held throughout New England in 2007, all celebrating survivorship and raising money to help the American Cancer Society in its mission to save lives, help those who have been touched by cancer, and empower individuals to fight back. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.

Anyone wishing to donate to the American Cancer Society by sponsoring me may go to my online pledge form.

Thanks for your consideration.

Update: Thanks to all who have already contributed! The relay is coming up this Saturday - Sunday, so I thought I'd post one more request for donations - Thanks, Steve

ob (other brother), I had always heard that the American Cancer Society like so many other of the big charities spends most of its income on administrative costs, so I've never contributed to them. Have I been mistaken?

erp -

I don't think they're the most efficient, but perhaps worthwhile just the same.
