DON'T DIS THE DESI:

2M for Hil after Bam Indian dis (MICHAEL McAULIFF in Washington and HELEN KENNEDY in New York, June 25th 2007, NY Daily News)

Sen. Hillary Clinton at the Indian-American fundraiser at the New York Sheraton yesterday.

After being dissed by Barack Obama, Indian-Americans gathered in what organizers called the biggest event their community ever held to hand Hillary Clinton about $2 million yesterday.

"I will work very hard to be a good steward of those contributions," Clinton told 1,200 of the nation's most prominent Indian-Americans, who flew in from all over the country and paid $1,000 to $4,600 to dine with her at the New York Sheraton.

"It is important that the relationship and partnership between India and the U.S. deepen and strengthen."

Recall that her administration had a confrontational relationship with India and that the alliance is almost entirely a creation of George W. Bush. Even the Stupid Party has to work pretty hard to squander this opportunity, though protectionism and nativism will do it.

I wasn't aware Indians were pouring in over the border, or are you concerned since more are "educated," they can't find someone to cut their lawn??????

Or workers for Indian restaurants?????

Considering India's socialistic history, should we be surprised at their donations?????

I fail to see how your reference to Lucille Ball's husband has any relevance.

All kidding aside, the U.S. is only a few hundred thousand Indians away from surpassing their numbers in Great Britain. Ghee whiz.

Sandy, you're becoming more and more incoherent by the hour. Have you checked out the Ace of Spades blog? They hate Mexicans (and President Bush) as much as you do and Orrin's old pal Bart is a figure of reverence there.

When and where do the Indians get their money to donate to Hillary? Didn't Hillary say that they were just gas attendants? Is that why our gas price is sky high? To finance a dinner with Hillary?

My, my, my, I hate Mexicans, yet Yo recuerdo un pocito de la lingua yo estudie in mi escula secondario - tho my spelling is lacking.

The 1st foreign country I ever visited was Mexico -

Hate Mexico, no, hate their failed socio-economic policies, yes.

And it's interesting all this "hate" is directed this way, yet no one ever talks about what's been or being said in their papers against America.

It's like Progressive Auto insurance, they talk a good game about being Progressive w/their profits, but won't be caught dead in MA because of MA's restrictive auto rules - because they can't make a profit.

Should we really compare Constitutions????? Or how they treat illegals?

Oh, wait, most of their illegals are the same shade, so that can't possibly be racist.

Ehh, it'll all be moot when Evita collectivizes the economy and we go into recession, there'll be no jobs.

MA needs the illegals, that's the only reason MA is maintaining. Changing tax policy isn't an option for growth.

You guys are getting very entertaining.

Especially when the North American Union gets going and we're going to have to give up quite a few ideals and processes to get along. But their vote card is a good idea, too late to us, tho.

Bryan: Get out of here. There's a place on the net where Bart still peddles his nonsense, and is actually taken seriously? [AOS is pretty hilarious, and the bloggers 99% of the time don't take themselves seriously, but I shudder to think what the comments are like.]

Next you're going to tell me there's some prominent blog out there where Harry Eagar or Daniel Duffy is taken seriously...

No, hate America. As witness the desire to act like Mexico.

They aren't educated by American standards. Even attending physicians there end up as interns here. Why do you think they own so many stores?

Posted by: oj at June 25, 2007 4:42 PM

Physicians educated abroad aren't necessarily less well educated. It's the bureaucracy of licensing that's daunting. A cousin of mine, a urologist, who was educated in the Soviet Union and Bulgaria and whose English was pretty good, gave up and took a low level job at a New York hospital.

Bart, Harry Eager, Jeff Guinn, man those were the days on Brothers Judd. It's still my favorite, but it was reading the back and forth comments in those earlier days that turned me into a theocon. As for Ace of Spades, it along with Hot Air are almost unreadable on the issue of immigration. How can people be so racist and not realize it?

Posted by: Patrick H at June 25, 2007 6:25 PM

Because racism is perfectly Rational.

Posted by: oj at June 25, 2007 7:49 PM

Yes, the quality of the education has nothing to do with it.
