Discovery may make stem-cell ethics fight irrelevant (Rick Weiss, 6/07/07, The Washington Post)

...they mean resolve it in favor of the ethical.

I've always thought the fight on the pro embryonic stem cell side was less about the results and more about the "freedom" to do with them what they wished. So this doesn't settle it any more than the advances made by using adult stem cells.

Rodger. Witches and queers are behind the stem-cell controversy. It is about separating sex from reproduction by means of denigrating developing human life.
