THERE'S NOTHING FUNNIER THAN THE LEFT BEING SERIOUS:

Guns and Abortion: How the right keeps winning on both (Jacob Weisberg, April 18, 2007, Slate)

What explains the success of Republicans in regulating abortion, where only a slender majority of the country agrees with them, while preventing the regulation of guns, where a much larger majority disagrees? Of course, pro-gun activists have the largest possible advantage in the Second Amendment to the Constitution, which guarantees the right to keep and bear arms (and never mind the part about "well regulated"). Roe v. Wade discovered a constitutional right to abortion in the emanations from penumbras, but it has the political disadvantage of being neither explicit nor persuasive.

Only his general unfunniness indicates to the reader that he's not engaged in satire there.

This is why these idiots have to posit some sort of vast conspiracy against them, b/c they have absolutely no idea about what the nation outside of Manhattan island, Georgetown, Cambridge, and Brentwood believes.

John Lott.
He's been caught fudging his scholarship on both of these issues, especially gun control, which is humorous because he is still the right-winger's go-to-guy for (mis)interpreting gun control stats.

while preventing the regulation of guns

So guns aren't regulated, huh? Will he next tell us that government doesn't regulate health care? Weisberg gets the Straw Man of the Month Award.

And look how the Left reacts to a Supreme Court ruling just this week that says that the Gov't has the authority to regulate medical procedures.

If you read some of the more incendiary commentary on the PBA decision from the Left, you realize they think it's protected by the First Amendment (...make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...)
