WHICH IS WHY THE GOP SHOULD RUN THE MAYOR FOR GOVERNOR:

Highest test scores go to Chicago schools (ROSALIND ROSSI and ART GOLAB, March 6, 2007, Chicago Sun-Times)

Chicago public schools claimed eight of the top 10 spots on a new Chicago Sun-Times list of the highest-scoring middle-grade programs in Illinois, based on 2006 state test scores finally released today after months of technical problems.

The city also grabbed half of the top-10 elementary slots, based on third- through fifth-grade reading and math scores on exams taken almost a year ago, a special Sun-Times analysis shows.

Such results make it especially peculiar that Mayor Daley is nearly the last New Democrat left standing.

About time, would have been sooner if he hadn't fired Vallas.

Were those "technical problems" solved by a squad of dead voters?

Those scores are cooked by the numerous scams run in the 6 mos. delay of the ISAT scores and numerous other scams involving Chicago schools.

There was a recent USA today article pointing out how "rising test scores" were taking place with out any real gains in knowledge. (flat NAEP scores)

Rule 1 - everything put forth by the Education establishment is a lie.

Rule 2 - If in doubt, see rule number 1

Especially in Illinois.

As for Daley, he's that very rare breed of an "effective" corrupt politician.

There are more democrat senators, more democrat state legislators, more abortions, more gay marriages, more corrupt politicians, and more of everything you say you disdain, all because of Daley's "effectiveness."

You fawning over him is unseemly, as his work undermines all you hold dear.
