Balony. The only message Mahmoud will get is from Kim saying all his nuc material is safely on it's way to him.
Posted by: Tom Wall at February 13, 2007 11:51 PMEvery time a big bomb goes off in Iraq, we ought to set one off in Tehran. Every time an American is killed by a sniper in Iraq (with a Steyr-Mannlicher rifle sold to the Iranian National Police), we should kill a mullah in Iran. Tit for tat. Then see if Mahmoud keeps making public appearances.
Posted by: ratbert at February 14, 2007 12:38 AMSince they're mostly American weapons being use why not kill an American official in washington every time?
Posted by: oj at February 14, 2007 7:55 AMSteyr-Mannlicher is an Austrian company.
Most of Iran's old military equipment is American. The current stuff (explosives, guns, comm. gear, some aircraft, etc.) is Russian. The high-tech stuff is definitely Russian, or North Korean, or Chinese.
You have conflated love for the Shi'a with love for the monsters. How do you feel, knowing that your Shi'a are jiggy with the Sunni nutjobs in Iraq?

They are using American equipment by the ton and an Austrian rifle or two. You allow your hysteria to blind you to reality. The Iranians are our allies in Iraq.
Posted by: oj at February 14, 2007 11:17 AMThen tell them to start killing the right people.
As I read it, the foreigners in Iraq (the AQ types) and the Sunni nutjobs are attacked only by Americans. The Shi'a death squads kill Sunni residents and take over neighborhoods. They aren't trying to attack Sunni jihadists. If that is true, they aren't very good allies, eh?
Posted by: ratbert at February 14, 2007 12:38 PMWe're their mercenary army. Why shouldn't they let us do their work if we refuse to leave?
