IF ONLY WE HAD MORE IMMIGRANTS...:

Dominican Republic outlasts Venezuela (AP, February 3, 2007)

Tony Batista's bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the 18th inning gave the Dominican Republic a 4-3 victory over Venezuela on Friday night in the longest game in Caribbean Series history at 6 hours, 13 minutes.

Luis Maza and Ronny Cedeno had consecutive doubles in the top of the 18th to give Venezuela a 3-2 lead in the series opener, but the Dominican Republic tied it on Bernie Castro's single and won on Batista's sacrifice fly.

...we'd all get ESPN Deportes.

Amen brother. I've been sending Directv an email every couple of months or so begging them to add it -- mostly for the footie, tho that's less necessary now w/ Goltv and Setanta, but the baseball would be a bonus.

And the Dominican did it w/o Melky, who isn't playing at the Yanks request.

Just noticed that the games are on FoxSports Espanol, which I get. Setting the dvr for tonight's PR/Dominican game momentarily.

How's your Spanish? If you can't get the tv you can listen on WAMG 890 AM Boston.
