HOW OFTEN DOES ABJECT SURRENDER EMBARRASS YOUR FOE?:

Democrats Back Away From War Fund Plan (ANNE FLAHERTY, February 27, 2007, The Associated Press)

House Democratic leaders are backing away from a plan to scale back U.S. involvement in the Iraq war by using Congress' most powerful tool _ withholding money in the budget.

Instead, party officials said Tuesday, leaders are weighing a proposal that would attempt to embarrass Bush into abandoning his war strategy.

Seems fitting since they likewise think surrendering to the USSR and al Qaeda would embarrass them into behaving.

What a great idea. The dems think they are confusing and embarrassing the president by pandering to and appeasing him, meanwhile the president gets what he needs to fight and win! Woo Hoo!

Some days you have to wonder just who the Dems are posturing for. There are only a few locations in the country where this sort of nonsense is going to win any plaudits, and they are already heavily Democratic (parts of NYC, CT, VT, Marin, Alameda, and SF counties, Minneapolis, Austin, etc.).

After 2 years of non-binding baloney, the Dems are likely to lose a lot in Nov. 2008. Especially if the GOP actually runs a campaign.

Jim is puttting his finger on it. Witches and queers don't care about the GWOT one way or the other, they care about bringing down a Christianist presidency.
