Sen. Chris Dodd says he's running for president (AP, 1/11/07)
Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd announced Thursday he will run for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, saying problems at home and abroad meant it was time for him to "get out of the bleachers and onto the arena floor."

Dodd? Biden? Obama? either Hillary's not running or the other Dems aren't scared of her.
Dodd is a little know northeastern senator with plenty of skeletons in his closet (waitress sandwich anyone?)
And will Dodd give up his senate seat to show how serious he is for president? of course not.
Posted by: AWW at January 11, 2007 11:17 PMDodd's discomfiture on Imus this morning (Don blasted him for abandoning Lieberman, and wouldn't stop blasting even after Dodd started begging) shows how bizarre his 'candidacy' is.
But, he has wanted to run for President since probably 1992 (when several top Dems chose not to run, thinking that Bush Sr. was unbeatable after the first Gulf War). His lust (for the job) may even precede that.
