SHE GOT OFF LIGHT...:
Blanco dinner auctioned for $1 (The Advocate, Dec 13, 2006)
A personal dinner with Gov. Kathleen Blanco could be within anyone’s grasp after a meal at the Governor’s Mansion sold for $1 in Monroe. In what amounts to a “bad joke gone awry,†the Monroe Chamber of Commerce’s annual holiday fundraiser featured a live auction with the last item up for bid being a dinner with the governor.
...they said they'd only eat with Mayor Nagin if he was their waiter. Posted by Orrin Judd at December 14, 2006 5:43 PM

How about Rep. William Jefferson serving desert, perhaps 90,0000 frozen treats from his freezer?
Posted by: pchuck at December 14, 2006 6:30 PMJefferson had his own private auction sometime ago.
Posted by: h-man at December 14, 2006 7:38 PMGuys, Jefferson would just order the National Guard to serve dessert, while they are in the middle of disaster relief. That's what they do (for him).
