In a first in Israel, seven secular rabbis who view Judaism as a culture will be ordained Friday in Jerusalem.

This is too rich: The article says they follow the Spinoza interpretation of God and will apparently incorporate that into their ceremonies. Stay tuned: "We pray to you oh Yahweh, useful metaphorical conception for literary expression of the human predicament. Please heed our figurative pleas for assistance."

Is it a matter of culture or a matter of birth? If the latter, or if the so-called "culture" is inseparable from race, it really is racism, as the anti-Semites accuse.
