YOU'D THINK THAT MIGHT BE A STORY:

What would the Democrats do? (SUNLEN MILLER, Nov. 2, 2006, ABC News)

What would the Democrats do if they take control of Congress? Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., offered his predictions to Sam Donaldson and Mark Halperin on ABC News Now's "Politics Live." [...]

Rangel reiterated his feeling that the military draft should be reinstated. "I truly believe that if we had a draft system, we would never have our men and women in Iraq. Everyone wants to fight with someone else's children."

Strange that the MSM talked alot about the draft in '04, when the GOP said it had no intention of reinstating it, but is silent about a leading Democrat's plans to bring it back.

Let's see if the stupid party picks up on it, vote dem, reinstitute the draft.

The Dems would use the draft to drive up opposition to the war to such high levels they could then bug out, saying they were following the will of the people. The lack of a draft has probably helped keep the Iraq war rating above 50%

As I recall, Rangel voted against it when his bill on the draft was brought up by Hastert. Did Halperin or Donaldson remind him of it?

Charlie's a chump.

OJ: it's Media Bias Example #1,386.

AWW: even Democrats have more sense than try that now. Imagine the agonies of the Kossites if House Democrats tried to send them to Iraq, while Bush and the Republicans tried to stop it. It'd be hilarious.

Rangel is a complete supersized a**h*t. There are, in fact, no "children" in the US armed forces.

See how the folk enemies pine for their glory days when cowardice was the handmaiden of treason.
