WHAT WAR?:

Holiday revelers can give thanks for $2 gas (Bryce Baschuk, November 1, 2006, THE WASHINGTON TIMES)

Happy holidays are ahead for the motoring public.

A warm-winter forecast and declining crude oil prices are making analysts optimistic that many Americans will see $2-a-gallon gas by Thanksgiving, despite OPEC's promise to cut production by 1.2 million barrels per day.

"We believe that in the next couple of weeks, the national gasoline price will average at $2.05 per gallon," said John Townsend, a spokesman for AAA Mid-Atlantic.

As if any OPEC countries could afford to cut production.

I'm so confused again: Isn't the Rove machine supposed to skyrocket the price back to $3.25 on 11/8? What will really be laughable is how Dems and MSM will blame low gas prices for the election ultimately not being the huge D-Landslide they're expecting.

John - put another way, if the GOP wins the Dems will claim the gas drop was an election ploy. If the Dems take over the gas drop will be attributable to all their actions (much like Clinton claimed all the good economic news in '93-'94)
