GENTLEMAN JIM:

Here's how I'd define a great baseball year, not only are my Mets and Tigers headed for a World Series match-up, but I won three caps, the latest from Jim in Chicago, who foolishly insisted that Manny Ramirez would have an OPS under .930 as he proceeded to lead the majors in OBP and finish 7th in SLG.

Even better, as part of the deal he had to let me post a picture of him in the Red Sox hat. You'll notice he could fit most of his family and neighbors under the lid...

Of course that's the hat I sent on to the Judd manse.

Mind you, I don't exactly have a pin head. But that's what a size 7 7/8 hat looks on a 7 1/2 head.

I suspect if I'd slapped a Hanover NH sticker on that giant hat and simply dropped it in the mail, the postman would know to whom to deliver it.

The hat worn askew and the caption are a nod to Mr. Gotts.

Hmmm, I do believe that Lou didn't see the humor in my little homage to him.

Do I really look drunk? Funny, since I took the pic at 1O am stone sober. Must be the resizing of the photo.
