THERE IS NO MUTUAL IN M.A.D.:
Fire on Iranian airliner kills 29 (NASSER KARIMI, 9/02/06, ASSOCIATED PRESS)
A landing Iranian airliner skidded off the runway and raked its wing along the ground, sparking a fire that killed 29 of the 148 people on board yesterday in the latest crash of a Russian-made plane. [...]Posted by Orrin Judd at September 2, 2006 8:48 AMThe craft was a Russian-made Tupolev 154. A Tu-154 owned by Russia's Pulkovo Airlines crashed in Ukraine on Aug. 22 while en route from a Russian resort to St. Petersburg, killing all 170 people on board.
In 2002, a Russian-made Tu-154, also operated by Iran Airtour, crashed in the mountains of western Iran, killing all 119 people aboard.
Another clue in our investigation of why Boeing has no competition.
Posted by: erp at September 2, 2006 10:07 AMThe Tupalevs claim to being anywhere near as good as even the European consortium, let alone Boeing, went down when their SST rip-off went down at the '73 Paris Air Show. Any non-Russian airline company flying them today either has a irrational mad on against the U.S. government, or has a U.S. embargo placed on them for their actions.

I have been on a Tupolev 154 (aka 727ski).
They are cr*p.
