Boeing takes 47 new jet orders, worth more than $4 bln (Reuters, 9/21/06)

Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA - News) announced new orders for 47 planes from unidentified buyers on Thursday, worth more than $4 billion overall, including 16 for its new carbon and titanium 787 Dreamliner.

From the Wikipedia entry about the Boeing 787:

"From France, Messier-Dowty will build the landing gear and Thales will supply the integrated standby flight display, electrical power conversion system, and in-flight entertainment."

I also happen to now that subcontractor Vought is buying fuselage parts from EADS, meaning from Airbus.

Are you sure that Dreamliner will ever fly?
